Due to job being seasonal & not having enough jobs for the season, ran out of reserves. Picked up a seasonal snow job, but still couldn't maintain mortgage. Also evicted a tenant for months of nonpayment of rent. Which was the primary source of the mortgage payment. We currently are renting the vacancy. The tenant also has long term intentions of renting. In July he is entering national guard & they will be paying his rent for 6 months. I am self-employed home remodeler. My business has suffered a huge loss of income in the past 8 months due to decline in the economy. I know everything will pick back up but, I have fallen behind and I have tried to get help from Litton but, I am not able to properly complete the forms that they require me to fill out to get any help. They say there isn't enough info, but the info they are talking about I don't know what they want me to put on the form, I'm self employed and my bank account has been inactive and overdrawn for a while now. I have less payments every month. Because I have lost 2 automoblies(repo) and i'm doing everything I can to cut cost so, its changed somewhat. I have a couple of jobs going right now so its a big improvement for no work at all which has been the case has been the case in the past 8-12 months. I need to keep my home and have my payments lowered for a while until the economy gets a little better and people will not be afraid to spend money to do improvements or repairs to their home. and then the payments can go back to normal. The gov. home affordable program is perfect for my situation but I don't know what I can use for the documents that they need to see if I qualify. But, the question on the web that if you answer yes to these then you qualify, Are all true in my situation, but, i'm not very computer literate so, please help me, I also have three small children 2,5,&7 years old that I support and care for.
