Bought our home in Aug. Perfect payment history until Nov of the following year. I've been trying to get a re-finance with them since last Fall. (Currently at 6.25%, 30-year fixed) They kept telling me to check back in a couple of weeks to see what programs were available. One agent even told me to stop making payments, which would force Countrywide to negotiate with me. So I stopped making payments, and here I am. Other homes in my neighborhood by same developer are getting 4.25%. I want to keep my home and can make payments, just looking for lower payment rate. Bank of America but during my last phone call with them, they said my loan is being serviced by Fannie Mae.

Lost job in May of 2008; contacted Bank Of America in October to apply for loan modification; they came back with that I have enough money to keep paying my payments as they are currently set and wanted to do a loan to me which is not what I need. My job now pays $13000 less a year and my daughter is about to start college and I'm a single mother. I did find another job but I'm not at the same amount as when I started.
Bank of America is also my mortgage company. I also contacted the HOPE group and asked for assistance, but they were not that helpful so far. We want Bank of America foreclosure help
